This was my first long trip on a BR free pass. In 1979 we only got 4 tickets a year. This one was from Falmer to Thurso via Kings Cross, Leeds, Samp;C, Glasgow (sleeper) and Inverness with return via Aberdeen Edinburgh (sleeper) and Kings Cross.
Here at Thurso the enamel Scottish Region pale blue signs survived. BR Bedford HA van can be seen to the left
