33061 Havant

This was I think my first ever Merrymaker trip which my Dad took me on when I was 13/14. A train from East Croydon to Torbay which called at Hove, where we joined it. Needless to say not everything went smoothly with the train already nearly an hour late and the Crompton being assisted by a class 73 due to failing. At Havant when it still had two centre roads 33061 waits to take the train forward to Torquay and Paignton. Despite the sunshine this was in the winter months, frost on the sleepers.
Slide undated probably 1974.
