This is a collection of photos taken by my late Uncle, Tony Lower. Based in Nottingham He worked as a hardware salesman with his patch being mainly the East and West Midlands before settling down as Hardware buyer for the Wilkinsons "Wilko" stores group. The photos are a record of many long lost scenes mainly around the Midlands. During school holidays I used to travel to many of the places with him, my near duplicate photos are not listed. Many of the places visited have either closed or have changed beyond recognition. I hope you enjoy them. There are over 300 photos, more to upload and all captions are now completed....even if they are wrong! Corrections and more info always welcome.
