I'm going to need a bit of help with this image. Unidentified Class 50 West Coast mainline in the Fells passing over a road, Is this the A6 or A66 or even a very early version of the M6? 6x6cm slide, undated but late 1960's or early 1970's. I think the first of the two lorries in the view is an Austin? with a LAD cab the second. Many thanks to everyone on RMweb who in under an hour advised this is Harthope Viaduct near Beattock. The road was the A74 and is now the B7076 and has been reduced to a single carriageway. The bridge has recently been replaced but for a current view use this link https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/B7076/@55.3965121,-3.5381274,19z After many months the fountain of knowledge on RMweb came up with an answer for the first lorry and identified it as an Albion belonging to Caledonian Road Services.
