5D33 the 0942 London Bridge to New Cross Gate ECS formed of 33041 and an Oxted 8 set with 33047 trailing was in collision with 2H27 the 0902 Epsom Downs to London Bridge formed of 4SUB unit 4704 at Bricklayers Arms Junction.
The collison was caused by the driver of 5D33 passing a position light subsidary signal L545 that appeared to be illuminated when it in fact wasn't
