This series of photos were taken shortly after the accident. 4CIG 1710 rolled away from one of the sidings at Bognor Regis. The ever useful www.railwaysarchives.co.uk website sadly has few details.

The description of the incident on the page is not quite right, it never made it as far as the Lec crossing, it ran straight out of the stabling siding, derailed on the catch point and ended up parked quite firmly in the station end of the signal box, never went past it.
